Preliminary Examination (Prelims):

This is a screening test consisting of two objective-type papers:

  • General Studies Paper I: Assesses general knowledge and awareness.
  • General Studies Paper II (CSAT): Tests aptitude and comprehension skills.
  • The Prelims is qualifying in nature, and the scores are not counted towards the final merit list.

Main Examination (Mains):

This is a written examination consisting of nine papers, each of 3 hours duration.
