1. Computer Based Examination (CBE):

 There will be three separate Computer-Based Examinations (CBEs), tailored to the minimum educational qualification required for the posts:

  • Matriculation (10th Pass) Level
  • Higher Secondary (10+2) Level
  • Graduation & above Level

Key Features of the CBE:

  • Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions: All questions will be in a multiple-choice format.
  • Negative Marking: There will be a negative marking of 0.50 marks for each incorrect answer.
  • Sections: Each CBE will generally consist of four sections:
    • General Intelligence (Reasoning): 25 questions, 50 marks
    • General Awareness: 25 questions, 50 marks
    • Quantitative Aptitude: 25 questions, 50 marks
    • English Language: 25 questions, 50 marks
  • Total: 100 questions, 200 marks.
  • Minimum Qualifying Marks: Candidates must score a minimum qualifying percentage (Normalized Scores) in the CBE to be considered for the next stage:
    • Unreserved (UR): 30%
    • OBC/EWS: 25%
    • Other Categories: 20%

2. Skill Tests (If Applicable):

For certain posts where prescribed in the Essential Qualification, skill tests will be conducted. These tests are generally qualifying in nature and may include:

  • Typing Test
  • Data Entry Test
  • Computer Proficiency Test
  • Any other skill test relevant to the specific post.

3. Document Scrutiny/Verification (DV):

Candidates shortlisted based on their performance in the Computer Based Examination (and Skill Tests, if applicable) will be called for Document Verification. This stage involves verifying the authenticity of all submitted documents, including:

  • Educational Qualification certificates (Matriculation, 10+2, Graduation, etc.)
  • Age Proof
  • Caste/Category certificates (if applicable)
  • Experience certificates (if applicable)

How to Apply

Candidates need to follow these steps:

  2. Login: After successful registration, log in to the official SSC website using your registration ID and password.
  3. Fill Application Form: Fill out the online application form with accurate personal, educational, and eligibility details.
  4. Upload Documents: Upload scanned images of your passport-size photograph and signature as per the prescribed format and guidelines. Ensure the photograph is clear, without a cap or spectacles, and shows a full frontal view.
  5. Pay Application Fee:
    • General Candidates: ₹100/- (Rupees One Hundred Only).
    • Women, SC, ST, Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), and Ex-Servicemen: Exempted from fee payment.
    • The fee can be paid online through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, or RuPay Credit/Debit Cards.
